Rachel was born Septembe 26, 1850 in Surry Co., NC. Rachel was the daughter of Abraham Buchman Lakey and Nancy Ann Phillips. Rachel died August 22, 1928 in Yadkinville, Yadkin Co., NC. Rachel was buried in the Lakey Cemetery, Yadkin Co., NC
