OBIT: Mrs. Rebecca Anna Allgood, one of Golden's most esteemed old ladies, passed away at her home on 9th Street, Saturday, September 14th. She had been in poor health for several months and two months ago her daughter, Mrs. Julia Ramstetter closed her home and went to stay with her mother. Rebecca Anna Haws, was born October 30th, 1851, in Western, Ill. Here she grew to womanhood and was married to Lewis Allgood. About 30 years ago the family came to Colorado from Missouri and settled at Guy Hill, where Mr. Allgood passed away 27 years ago. In order that her children might attend the public school, Mrs. Allgood moved to Golden 20 years ago, moving into the home she occupied at the time of her death. She was the mother of ten children, seven of whom preceeded her to the grave. She was a faithful member of the Nazarene Church. She is suvived by one daughter, Mrs. Otto Ramstetter, of Golden and two sons, William of Guy Hill and Arthur of Golden and sixteen grandchildren. A brother, George Haws of Dallas, Texas, also survives her. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Nazarene Church conducted by Rev. E. O. Walden and interment was in Golden cemetery. Arrangements were by Woods and Sanders. On the 1900 censu, Rebecca was shown as having 10 chidren, with only 5 living.
In 1920 Rebecca was living with Arthur and Laura Blood, age 9, shown as her grandaughter.
