Franklin died January 13, 2004 in Joplin, Jasper Co., MO. Obit: Frank Allgood, 73, of Joplin, died at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, at a local hospital.
Frank was born Aug. 27, 1930, in Fairland, Okla., to Thomas Scott and Tencil Couffer Allgood. They preceded him in death. He was a Korean War veteran. He was employed by the Arundel Corporation in Baltimore, Md. for 18 years, and at the time of his retirement was a general superintendent. Following retirement, he was a consultant for other related companies. He was a member of the American Legion.
His first marriage was to Connie Evans. She died in 1966. He married Maureen McNally on June 1, 1971, in Moundsville, W.Va. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Deborah Corn, of Seattle, Wash., and Sherry Myers, of Baltimore, Md.; three brothers, Thomas Allgood, Jack Allgood and Virgil Allgood, all of Joplin; five sisters, Zoleita Stephens, Mildred Wilfley and Colleen Black, all of Joplin, Mary Lou Hudson, of Sarcoxie, Mo., and Carolyn Pitter, of Galena, Kan.; two granddaughters, Carol Douglas, of Hanover, Pa., and Vanessa Zimmerman, of Raynham, Mass.; and a great-granddaughter, Sarah Zimmerman, of Port Richey, Fla.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, at the Osborne Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Raymond O’Connor, CMF, will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jack Allgood, Tom Allgood, Larry Stephens, Richard Pim, Larry McNally and Ike Barger. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary. Contributions may be made to St. John’s Palliative Care.
He married three times. He married Connie Evans November 1953. Connie died 1966.
