James died November 18, 1970 in Swartz, Ouachita Parish, LA. Obit- James H. Allgood, 83, of Monroe died Wednesday at Riverside Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Spears Funeral Home chapel in Monroe. Burial will be at Springhill Cemetery at Swartz. Mr. Allgood was a native of Alice, Miss, but had lived in Monroe for 28 years He was a retired railroad worker and a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs Nancy Anderson of Monroe, J. L. Allgood of Mena, AR, and four grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

He married Annie E. (__) 1908 in Taylorsville, Smith Co., MS. Annie was born March 14, 1884 in Taylorsville, Smith Co., MS. Annie died December 9, 1968 in Hodge, Jackson Parish, LA. Annie was buried in the Springhill Cemetery, Swartz, LA

Wesley was shot to death while running from Camp C at the Louisana State Prison at Angola, LA. He was serving a three year sentence for simple arson. He had been in Angola since February of that year. Wesley was buried in the Springhill Cemetery, Swartz, LA
