Obit - William Cranford Services for William Cranford, 79, of Monroe, will be at 1 p.m. today at Hixson Bros Funeral Home chapel in Monroe with the Rev. Glen Pippens officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sadie Cranford of Monroe; a son, Don Cranford of Sterlington; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Kay Reynolds of Tomah, Wisc; a brother, Hardy Cranford of Swartz; a sister, Mrs Ivelou Winnon of Swartz; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jim Glass, Clifton Crow, Issac Crain, Steve Crain, Rodney Irwin and Charlie McGraw.r

He married twice. He married Eva Arnold. He married Sarah (Sadie) Meechan July 26, 1945 in Scotland. Sarah was born May 30,1911 in Scotland. Sarah was the daughter of Hugh Meechan and Janet Cossar. Sarah died April 13, 2001 in Monroe, Ouachita Parish, LA. Sadie was buried at the Monroe Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe, LA
