10851 v. Wilma Jeanne (Mimi) Phelps was born in Belgrade, Washington, Co., MO April 15, 1925. Wilma died Sepember 21, 2001 in Bridgeton, MO. OBIT: Jeanne Dennis, of Belgrade, Mo., passed away Friday, September 21, 2001 in the All Saints Special Care Hospital, Bridgeton, Mo., at the age of 76 years, 5 months and 6 days. She was born on April 15, 1925, at Belgrade, Mo., to the late George and mary Emma (Barber) Phelps.

Jeanne, whose special nickname was "Mimi", knew the Lord as her Savior and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Belgrade since 1964. She was united in marriage to Norman "Dod" Dennis March 28, 1953 in Caledonia. He preceded his wife in death on September 9, 1998. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Nola Belfield and Lola Elliott; two brothers, Edgar Ralph Phelps and Herbert Phelps and a special niece, Kevin Maxwell.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are nieces and nephews who were raised with her; Glenwood Phelps of Caledonia, Dwain Phelps of Bourbon, Bernell Dennis of Belgrade and Neva Walton of Potosi; other nieces, nephews and cousins; she is also survived by two godchildren, Chuck Olmsted of Belgrade and Julie Olmsted of Columbia, other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 P.M. Sunday, September 23, 2001 at Britton Chapel, Potosi, with Rev. Harry White officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Tracy Maxwell, Ryan Maxwell, Adam Maxwell, Chuck Olmsted, Scott Dennis and Danny Joe Dennis.

Interment was in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Belgrade, under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.

She married Norman (Dod) Franklin Dennis March 28, 1953 in Caledonia, MO.

Norman was born October 22, 1916. Norman was the son of James Peter (Pete) Dennis and Eva Mahalae Akers. Norman died September 9, 1998 in Belgrade, Washington, Co., MO. Norman was buried in the Liberty Baptist Cemetery, Belgrade, Washington Co., MO
