John died December 6, 1944. OBIT: John R McGuire 62, a switchman for forty years, an employee of the Chicago North Western railroad, a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen and the Moose lodge died at his home, Wednsday, at 822 Avenue C. He is survived by his widow Mrs. Carol McGuire, two daughters: Mrs. Dorthy Jensen of Culver City Calif and Mrs. Virginia Ahrer of Council Bluffs, one son E E McGuire of Arcas Arcadia Calif four grandchildren three sisters Mrs Mattie Schneider Mrs Nora Sulhoff and Mrs Blanche Meek of Council Bluffs three brothers Fred McGuire, Almond McGuire, and Ivan McGuire of Council Bluffs.

Lila was born November 18, 1911 in Schaller, Sac Co., IA. Lila died January 31, 1980 in Cypress, Orange Co., CA. He married Lil Kathryn Wilkins Siebert July 20,1931 in Nodaway Co., MO. Lil was born November 18, 1911 in Silver City, IA. Lil was the daughter of William A Wilkins and Berdie uffaker. Lil died Januay 31,1980 in Orange Co., CA.
