William died May 3, 1999 in Fort Walton Beach, Okaloosa Co., FL. OBIT: William "Bill" Carson Allgood, age 68, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., passed away Monday morning, May 3, 1999, in a local nursing home. Mr. Allgood was born on April 1, 1931, in Carrollton, Ga., to the late George Wesley and Helen Allgood. Bill moved to Fort Walton Beach from Rome, Ga., and owned and operated Allgood's Spray Cleaning and Painting Service. He was a member of Grace Tabernacle; past member of the Shriners; past president of the Boys Club of Okaloosa County; and sponsored many Little League teams over the years. Mr. Allgood also served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict. Mr. Allgood was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister. He is survived by his wife, Linda R. Allgood of Fort Walton Beach; daughter, Debbie Allgood Purdy and husband the Rev. Mike of Athens, Ga.; daughter, Mitzi Allgood Correa and husband Elliot of Norcross, Ga.; son, Matt Allgood and wife Carolanne of Deland, Fla.; son, Carey Allgood of Fort Walton Beach; seven grandchildren; and many extended family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, at Emerald Coast Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. David M. Malheiro and Mike Purdy officiating. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in Mount Zion Methodist Church Cemetery in Andalusia, Ala. Asked to serve as pallbearers are Harvey Copeland, Jerry Bizzell Jr., Shane Purdy, Ben Purdy, Dewayne Radford and Sue Vosburg, with Jim Parker and Wayne Driver as honorary pallbearers. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Flowers will be accepted, but those who wish may make donations to Grace Tabernacle Church Memorial Fund, 218 N.E. Eglin Pkwy., Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547, in memory of William "Bill" Carson Allgood. Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Road N.E., Fort Walton Beach, is in charge of arrangements.

He married Linda Jean Radford. Linda was born 1947 in Andalusia, Covington Co., AL. Linda was the daughter of Walter Radford and Nell (___). Linda died May 27, 2014 in Fort Walton Beach, Okaloosa Co., FL. OBIT: Linda Jean Allgood of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at the young age of 67. Linda passed to heaven in her sleep at 1:15 p.m., with her husband, Gary Moore; son, Carey Allgood; sister, Alethea Wankowski; and mother, Mary Lou Radford, by her side.Linda was born in 1947 in Andalusia, Ala., to father, Walter Radford and birth mother, Nell Radford. After Nell passed when Linda was less than two years old she was loved and raised by her mother, Mary Lou Radford. Linda grew up with her two brothers, Dewayne and Roger; and her sister, Alethea. She learned at an early age to be a great cook while cooking for the family at an early age. This passion stayed with her throughout her life. She graduated from Troy State University with an Education Degree. Shortly after she moved to Fort Walton Beach where she met Bill Allgood. They were married and had one son, William "Carey" Allgood. Linda went to work at Edge Elementary where she worked for over 35 years. Linda changed so many lives with her patient and persistent teaching style.
