He married Mable Kathryn Stone. Mable was born December 9, 1925 in Daviess Co., KY. Mable was the daughter of Alva Beckham Stone and Olive Clyde Smith. Mable died June 28, 2012 in Owensboro, Daviess Co., KY. OBIT: Kathryn Stone Allgood, 86, of Owensboro died Thursday, June 28, 2012. She was born on December 9, 1925 in Daviess County to the late Alva Beckham Stone and Olive Clyde Smith Stone. She was a member of Third Baptist Church where she was also a member in the Esther Sunday School Class. Kathryn retired from the Salaried Employee Relations Department of General Electric in 1983 after 31½ years of service and was an officer and Payroll Clerk for Diamond Bowling Lanes since 1983. She also enjoyed crafts, sports and reading. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 27 days, Cecil Vernon Vowels who died on May 6, 1945; her second husband of over 51 years, Jasper David "J.D." Allgood who died on March 31, 1998; and two infant sons, Donald Wayne Allgood on March 18, 1954 and Joe Leslie Allgood on June 17, 1951. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, David and Sandy Allgood; and two grandchildren, Natalie Offill and her husband, Jesse, and Jordan Allgood. Kathryn was also greatly anticipating the arrival next month of her first great-granddaughter, Olivia Kathryn Offill. Services will be held at 10:00a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. and again on Saturday from 9:00a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
