FL November 20, 1932. Barbara died September 28, 2002 in Hillsborough Co., FL. CANNING, BARBARA ANN, 69, of Apollo Beach, died Saturday (Sept. 28, 2002). Born in Tampa, she was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a graduate of Hillsborough High School and the University of Alabama School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse and was employed at Tampa General Hospital and Canterbury Towers for many years. Survivors include her husband, John; a son, John Patrick Jr., Tampa; a brother, John Sanford Matthews; and several nieces and nephews. Marsicano-B. Marion Reed-Stowers Funeral Home, Tampa.
