Laura died April 28, 2002 in Auburn, Lee Co., AL. Laura died from complications of lung cancer.She is buried at Memorial Park Cemetery, Auburn, AL George retired as a colonel in the U. S. Army Reserve as a Field Artillery Offcier. He served on active duty in the Korean War. He was a circuit judge in Lee County, AL
