Obit: Mr. Richard Horace Newsome, Jr., 59, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Heartland Hospice in Austell following an extended illness. He was born August 17, 1948 in Phenix City, Alabama the son of Mrs. Pauline Blaxton Newsome and the late Mr. Richard Horace Newsome, Sr. He married Vivie Wheeler June 7, 1969 in Mableton. He was a member of the Mableton Assembly of God. He was a manager for BellSouth where he retired following 30 years of service.
