Margaret died November 20, 2007 in Columbus, Muscogee Co., GA. Obit: - Margaret M. Newsome, 57 of Smiths Station, Alabama passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at the Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 2:00pm EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel, 3738 Hwy 431 N, Phenix City, AL with interment following at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Scott Wyatt and Rev. John Rigby will officiate the service. The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 8pm at the funeral home. Ms. Newsome was born March 22, 1950 in Phenix City, AL, daughter of Richard H. Newsome, Sr. and Pauline Blackston Newsome. She was retired from AFLAC in the agents accounting department and was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard H. Newsome, Sr. She is survived by her mother, Pauline Newsome of Phenix City, AL; a son: Shannon Bryant and wife, Tina of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; a sister, Betty Redmond and husband, Mark of Dothan, AL; a brother, Richard H. Newsome, Jr., and wife Vivie of Douglasville, GA; two grandchildren: Erica Asburry, and Sean Bryant; and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret Newsome and Roy Bryant had the following child:
