Fletcher is buried at Deep Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Yadkin Co.,NC From "Descendants of Jacob Hoots," by Carl Casper Hoots: "Fletcher lived a quiet and honorable life span of some 76 years in the Deep Creek Community of Yadkin County. He and his wife farmed and reared a family of seven honorable children on land that was originally granted to his great-great-grandfather, Jacob Hoots. He was a Baptist by faith and was grandson on his mother's side of Rev George Baity who preached the first sermon in the Deep Creek Baptist Church. 'September 26, 1885, Brother G. W. Baity preached at 11 o'clock it being the first sermon delivered from the new house of worship,' reads the church minutes. He was a member of Harmon Masonic Lodge #420 and lived up to his obligations. He was a precinct chairman of the Republican Party, and held other political offices that stood for law and order."
