Phosia (Phosa) Adaline10 Hoots (Viola Mucia9 Allgood, Leander Grant (Lee)8, John William7, Henry Robert6, William (Pikey) Henry5, William John4, Edward3, William2, Edward1 Algood) was born in Morganton, Burke Co., NC August 23, 1916. Phosia died November 3, 2001 in Lewisville, Forsyth Co., NC. OBIT: Phosa Hoots Reavis went to Heaven to be with her Lord Saturday morning Nov 3, 2001 while being cared for at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Previously she had been a resident of Clemmons Village and was a resident of Lewisville for nearly 50 years.

Mrs. Reavis was born in Yadkin County Aug. 23, 1916, to Fletcher and Mucie Allgood Hoots.

She was a member of Trinity Friends Church along with her deceased husband T. Joel Reavis. Throughout her adult life, her faith and love for the family was evident to those who knew her. She was a loving and kind mother.

Survivors include three sons, Thad R. Reavis (Sandra) of Westfield, Ronnie W. Reavis of Winston-Salem, and Dennis L. Reavis (Patti) of Clemmons; a stepdaughter, Nancy Reavis Dumont (Jack) of Winston-Salem; a stepson, Joe A Reavis (Frankie) of Mocksville; two brothers, Ray Hoots of Yadkin County, and Robert Hoots of Winston-Salem; and two sisters, Betty Lou Reneger of Yadkinville, and Leta Steelman of Advance. Mrs. Reavis' 22 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren will miss her dearly. Preceding her in death were two stepsons, Owen L. Reavis of Virginia, and Paul Reavis of Florida; a brother, Max Hoots of Winston-Salem; and a sister, Lola Mae Joyner of Harmony.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5 at Trinity Friends Church with Pastor Robin Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at Gold Springs Cemetery in Yadkin County. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family extends sincere thanks to those who befriended, cared for and visited Phosa during her illness. A special thank you to Clemmons Village I management, staff, residents and their families, and to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Memorials may be made to Clemmons Village I or Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

She married Thadius Joel Reavis April 4, 1942 in Galax, Carroll Co., VA. Thadius was born August 9, 1906. Thadius was the son of Isaac Reavis and Amanda Leagans. Thadius died March 23, 1993 in Lewisville, Forsyth Co., NC.
