John died April 29, 2006. OBIT: John James "Jay" LaFave, age 34 of Duluth, MN passed away unexpectedly on April 29, 2006. He was born on August 10, 1971 in Minneapolis, MN to Loren and Judith (Northrup) LaFave.
He was a member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. Jay enjoyed playing pool, dominoes and spending time with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his mother and his brother Gerald. Jay is survived by his daughter Tyra; son Derrick; his father; brothers and sisters, Richard, Sherry LaFave Sampson, Loren Jr. and Bradley; also many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and other relatives.
The visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at the Sawyer Center, 3243 Moorhead Road, Sawyer, from 5:00 pm and will continue throughout the evening until the traditional funeral service which will be on Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at 10:00 am also at the Center. Interment will be in Sawyer Cemetery, Sawyer.
