John Henderson was 81, a retired Brown Shoe Co employee, passed away at4:40 a.m. at Illini Hospital in Pittsfield. He was born in Pike Co Feb 22, 1886, son of Joseph and Melvina Blacketter Henderson. He leaves awidow, Sarah and three nieces, who were raised in the Henderson home. Theyare Mrs Arthur Doyle of Pittsfield, Mrs George Barber of Jacksonville andMrs Clarence Doyle of Medora. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PMFriday at the Sutter Funeral Home Reverend Joe Maynard officiating. Burialwill be in Pittsfield West Cemetery.
