He married Helen Elizabeth Neeley May 17, 1925 in Palmyra, Marion Co., MO. Helen was born September 30,1906 in Centerville, Appanoose Co., IA. Helen was the daughter of Robert G. Neeley and Ruth H Townsend. Helen died September 9, 2000 in Hannibal, Marion Co, MO. OBIT Helen Elizabeth (Mimi) Neely McNary, 93, of Hannibal, formerly of New London, died at 1:10 a.m. Sept. 9, 2000, at Hannibal Regional Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. McNary will be at 10 a.m. today at the Smith Funeral Chapel in Hannibal. The Rev. Tim Goodman, and the Revs. Howard and Darlene Goodrich will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal. Mrs. McNary was born Sept. 30, 1906, in Centerville, Iowa, to Robert G. and Ruth H. Townsend Neely. She was married to Leo Ellis McNary on May 17, 1925, in Palmyra. He preceded her in death May 20, 1986. Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Rettig Lamkins of Hannibal and Sandra Bangert, New London; nine grandchildren, Steven Feeney, Watertown, S.D., Teresa Logue, Secor, Ill., Paula Rutledge, Yorba Linda, Calif., Kimberly Rettig, Jeffrey Kent Rettig and Kathy Lynn Wurtzler, all of Springfield, Ill., and Lori Lee Creech, Lisa Lynn Pettitt and Michelle Ann Pettitt, all of New London; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Feeney Wixom, who died Dec. 7, 1998. Mrs. McNary was cashier for 27 years at the Ralls County Electric Cooperative in New London. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Hannibal, New London Chapter, No. 550, OES, Monday Study Club, New London Reading Circle and the Busy Rural Dames Extension Club. She attended Gem City Business College and was a graduate of Centerville High School. Mrs. McNary had made her home in Hannibal since 1984. Pallbearers will be Steven Feeney, Jeffrey Kent Rettig, Christopher Stratton, Jamey Creech, Mike Pettitt and Pat Pettitt. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Bangert, Gail Rettig, Dale Lamkins and Edward McPike.

17365 ii. Barbara Jean McNary was born in Centerville, Appanoose Co., IA September 28, 1929. Barbara died December 7, 1998. She married twice. She married Joseph Patrick (Pat) Feene. Joseph was born August 2, 1926. Joseph died April 20, 1980 in Tazewell Co., IL. She married John L Wixom. John was born October 5, 1934. John died May 30, 1999 in Tazewell Co., IL.
