She married Leroy Crouch August 27, 1953 in Biloxi, Harrison Co., MS. Leroy was born December 5, 1928 in Meridian, Lauderdale Co., MS. Leroy was the son of Robert Franklin Crouch and Matilda Collins. Leroy died February 15, 2006 in Meridian, Lauderdale Co, MS. OBIT: Services for Leroy Crouch Sr. will be held today at 11 a.m. at Concord Methodist Church with the Revs. Howard Lips and Hollis Howell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Crouch, 77, of Chunky, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, at Guardian Angel Hospice. He was retired from BellSouth. He was a member of Concord Methodist Church Choir, Mellen Lodge No. 138, and BellSouth Pioneers. He served on many church committees. He will be remembered as a great husband, father, and grandfather. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army as a PFC.
Survivors include his wife, Mary S. Crouch of Chunky; daughters, Dianne Busby and her husband, James, of Durant, Pam Colson of Greenville, S.C., Polly Sweetman and her husband, John, of Townsend, Del.; sons, Leroy Crouch and his wife, Yolanda, of Greenville, S.C., Zane Crouch and his wife, Angie, of Meridian and Roger Shirley and his wife, Carla, of Chunky; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a sister, Pauline McGinnis and her husband, Paul, of Madison and a brother, Bobby Crouch and his wife, Anita, of Toomsuba.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Carrie Bell McCollum and a granddaughter, Mandy Turrentine of Greenville, S.C. and his former wife of 24 years, Edwina S. Crouch.
Pallbearers will be Tony Malone, Everette Kimbrell, Isaac Milton, Donald McCollum, Craig Crouch and Murvis McCollum.
Visitation will be today one hour prior to the service at the church.
