William died May 2, 2002 in Laurel, Jones Co., MS. OBIT: Graveside services for William Morris Allgood of Laurel are 1 p.m., Thursday, May 9, at New Prospect Cemetery. Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Harrigill Funeral Home.
Mr. Allgood, 77, died May 7, 2002, at his residence. He was born in Lincoln County on March 23, 1925, to William Louie Allgood and Fannie Mae Smith Allgood.
He was retired as the former owner of Southland Seismic Exploration. He was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his son, Rick Allgood of Bogue Chitto; his daughters, Sandy Fielder and Joannie Martin, both of Bogue Chitto; his brother, Herman Dean Allgood of Reno, Nev.; his sister, Betty Monelle Wallace of Groves, Texas; his grandchildren, Matt Allgood, Adam Allgood, and Cortney Fielder; and his stepgrandchildren, Johnny Fielder, Cam Fielder and Misty Smith.
He married Sarah Louise Byrne. Sarah was born June 12 1927 in Lawrnece Co., MS. Sarah was the daughter of Basil L. Byrne and Fannie Mae James. Sarah died December 23, 2012 in Bogue Chitto, Lincoln Co., MS. OBIT: Funeral services for Sarah Byrne Allgood, of Bogue Chitto, are 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive, with burial in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello.
Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Allgood, 85, died Dec. 23, 2012, at her home.
She was born in Lawrence County. She was an avid gardener and loved to fish. Mrs. Allgood loved spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death were her father, Basil L. Byrne; mother, Fannie Mae James Byrne; husband, William M. Allgood; and brother, Basil G. Byrne.
Survivors are her daughters, Sandy and husband, Wayne Fielder, of Bogue Chitto, and Joannie and husband, Danny Martin, of Bogue Chitto; son, Rick and wife, Susie Allgood, of Bogue Chitto; grandchildren, Matt and wife, Meagan Allgood, of Creston, Calif., Adam Allgood, of Crystal Springs, Cortney and husband, Cal Hodges, of Starkville, Misty and husband, Stephen Smith, of Summit, Cam and wife, Rhonda Fielder, of Bogue Chitto, and Johnny and wife, Lisa Fielder, of Bogue Chitto; seven great-grandchildren; her caregivers, Cindy Harveston, Jessie Carwyle and Pam Foggle; her family doctor, Doctor Jim Roberts; brothers, Robert and wife, Pattye Byrne, of Lawrence, and Jimmy and wife, Shirley Byrne, of Citronelle, Ala.; and sister-in-law, Olean Byrne, of Florence.
William Morris Allgood and Sarah Louise Byrne had the following children:
