Mrs. Smith, 87, died Feb. 11, 2010, at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson. She was born on Nov. 3, 1922.

She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Canton.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Wilson Smith; and a son, Haywood Smith.

Survivors include her sons, Jerry Smith, of Sontag, and Edward Smith, of Dallas, Texas; her three daughter-in-laws, Boots Smith, Christine Smith and Emma Smith; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
