He married twice. He married Rosa Entrican. Rosa was born March 8, 1908. Rosa was the daughter of Joseph Jefferson Entrican and Ida Corrinne Case. Rosa died January 4,1986. He married Shirley Spencer.

William Edward Smith and Rosa Entrican had the following children:
