He married Luna Estelle Smith November 28, 1919. Luna was born February 22,1902. Luna was the daughter of Everette Smith and and Dicey Ann (Dicer) Linder. Luna died June 18, 1986.

41780 i. Evelyn12 Smith was born in Lucien, Franklin Co., MS July 24, 1921. Evelyn died December 11, 2004 in Ridgeland, Madison Co., MS. OBIT: Services for Evelyn Smith McManus of Brookhaven were 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 13, at Damascus Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Mrs. McManus, 79, died Dec. 11, 2000, at Whispering Pines in Ridgeland. She was born in Lucien on July 24, 1921, to Louis W. Smith and Luna Smith Smith. She was retired as owner of Mac's Restaurant in Bude. She was a member of Damascus Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, H. E. McManus; and her brother, Larry D. Smith. Survivors are her nieces and nephews, Madaline S. Lee of Port Gibson, Camellia Nettles of Brookhaven, and Larry L. Smith of Jackson. Memorials may be made to the Brookhaven Animal Rescue League, P.O. Box 909, Brookhaven, MS 39602.
She married Herman Edward McManus. Herman was the son of Sanford Dixon McManus and Julie Jordan.
Herman is deceased. Herman was buried in Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery, Franklin Co., MS.
