Charles died September 2, 2009 in Sawyer, Carlton Co., MN. OBIT: Charles Lee Greensky, Ozah-wah-na-kwad, 52, of Sawyer, Minn., passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009. He was born March 21, 1957, in Cloquet, Minn., to Isaac and Florence (Shabiash) Greensky. Charles was a member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Michael; sister Sharon Jug Cunningham; and daughter Tishina Benjamin.
Charles is survived by his Little Love, Virginia Melin; his childrens mother, Lisa Benjamin; sons, Travis Benjamin and Michael Greensky; daughters, Tara and Andrea Benjamin and Angelique Vos; grandchildren, Nicholas, Leiah, Dante, Ira and Jaden Benjamin; siblings, Sam (Judy) Greensky, Betty (Bucky) Porter and Ardith (Carl) Carlson; also many nieces and nephews.
Visitation began at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, and continued throughout the evening until the 10 a.m. Traditional Service on Sunday, Sept. 6, in the Sawyer Center, Sawyer. Interment was in Sawyer Cemetery, Sawyer.
