William died April 16, 2009 in Vicksburg, Warren Co. MS. OBIT: Funeral services for William Alonzo ‘Bill ‘ Stiles,64, of Natchez, who died Thursday April 16, 2009 at River Region Medical Center, in Vicksburg, will be 11a.m. Saturday April 18, 2009 at Jefferson Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Edwin Temple officiating. Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. Stiles was born August 14, 1944 In Ft. Smith, Ark. He was the son of the late Edward Miles Stiles and the late Erma Storey Stiles. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi and was a veteran of the US Navy serving on the USS Boston during the Vietnam War. He was a lifelong member of Jefferson Street United Methodist Church and was also a member of the Greer Sunday School Class at Jefferson Street where he served many years as treasurer and as a substitute teacher. He was a member of the Masons, a Shriner and was also a faithful member of the Elks Lodge #553 where he served as a Past Exalted Ruler. He served as past president of The Natchez Realtor Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Stiles.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty C. Stiles of Natchez and four children, Edward Joseph Stiles and his wife Julie Of Charleston, SC; Miles Stiles and his fiancée Lynsey Anding of Houston TX; Haley Stiles of New Orleans and Hannah Quinn and her husband Tims of Natchez. Two sisters, Edwina "Sissy" Peterson and Mary Louise "Biddy" Vuillod both of Natchez and one brother Robert E. "Bob" Stiles and wife Susan of Lino Lakes, MN. Two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Charlotte Stiles of Charleston SC, one bother- in- law Charles Cameron of Hattiesburg, MS; Nieces and nephews Christopher Peterson, Jennifer Throneberry and her husband Scott, Joshua Peterson, Benjamin Stiles and Ellen Hackett and her husband Ken.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Kristen Roberts and Sta Home Health Care.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Peterson, Benjamin Stiles, Rob Sharp, Wally Sharp, Jay Wallace, David Sharp and Adam Sharp.

Honorary pallbearers include Dan Bland, Richard M. Truly, Jerry Stroud, Robert "Bob" Pollard.

William Alonzo Stiles and Betty Cameron had the following children:
