She married Benjamin (Ben) John Kruse May 6, 1916. Benjamin was born October 8, 1898 in Moro, Madison Co., IL. Benjamin was the son of Johann Kruse and Johann Wilhelm. Benjamin died September 24, 1973 in Litchfield, Montgomery Co., IL. Obit; Services for Benjamin "Ben" Kruse of419 East Ryder will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in Ross Funeral Home by the Rev Robert W Mallicoat, pastor of the First Baptist church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call today from 3 until 5 pm and from 7 until 9 pm. Mr Kruse, who would have been 75 on Oct 8, died Monday night [24 SE 1973] at 7:45 o'clock in St Francis hospital where he was admitted at 6:30 pm from the Virden nursing home following an illness of several years. Born at Moro, son of Johann and Wilhelmina Wilhelm Kruse, he came with them to Litchfield as a child. He was employed as car inspector by the Wabash railroad for 39 years, retiring in 1957. His wife, the former Belvia Parrott of Litchfield, whom he married here May 6, 1916, died March 31, 1962. Surviving are three sons and three daughters, John, San Francisco, CA; James [called "Rusty"], Mrs Betty [Hank] Maynard, and Miss Dolores Kruse, all of Litchfield; George, Virden; and Mrs Charlene [Vern] Fosnaugh, Springfield, with 17 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a son, Benjamin, and three sisters, Mrs Lena [James] Kaskutas, Gillespie; Mrs Anna [Ray] Harkey, Litchfield; and Mrs Minnie Ray
