Kathryn died June 6, 2012 in Vance Co., NC. OBIT: Kathryn Renn Wade, 88, of 5709 Highway 158 Business, Henderson, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at her home.
Born in Vance County, and a lifelong resident of the Watkins Community, she was the daughter of the late Willie Edward Renn Sr. and Sallie Evans Renn. She was the widow of Howard Quentin Wade Sr.
Mrs. Wade was a homemaker and also worked public work for a while. Prior to her marriage, she was a member of Rehoboth Methodist Church. After marriage, she became a member of Hermon United Methodist Church, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and choir director.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2012, at 11 a.m., at Hermon United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Nate Hester and the Rev. John Yount. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathie W. Hamm and husband, J.H., of Henderson; two sons, Howard Q. Wade Jr. and wife, Connie, and Jeffrey R. Wade and wife, Angie, all of Henderson; four grandchildren, Kelly W. Perdue, Kyle Q. Wade and Tina W. Pegram, all of Henderson, and Christopher L. Wade of Franklinton; nine great-grandchildren, Ashley Marie Tingen, Avery Cheyenne Pegram, Makaden Grace Wade, Brylee Shayne Wade, Kyle Q. Wade Jr., Emileigh A. Albright, Taylor Hope Tart, Abby Gracy Wade and Walter Womack; and two special friends, Betty and Robert Hilliard. She was preceded in death by a sister, Vernelle R. Owen, and a brother, Willie Edward Renn Jr.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Flowers Funeral Home. All other times, they will be at the home of Howard and Connie Wade, 275 Pine Ridge Road, Henderson.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Charles Parrott, Robert Hilliard, Jack Owen, Frank Wade, Walter Wade, Bert Crews, Brooks Brame, John Capps, Chris Wade, Kyle Wade and Jim Johnson.
She married Howard Quentin Wade. Howard was born July 27, 1919 in Vance Co., NC. Howard was the son of William Fletcher Wade and Alice Howard. Howard died March 16, 1995 in Henderson, Vance Co., NC.
Kathryn Marie Renn and Howard Quentin Wade had the following children:
