He married Norma Hazel Johnston. Norma was born March 8,1923 in Cate, MS. Norma was the daughter of Chester AAron Johnston and Myrtle Rivers Courtney. Her body was interred at in West Monroe, Quachita Parrish, LA.

Wilbur Lee Smith and Norma Hazel Johnston had the following children:
