Lucretia died February 6, 1960 in Swartz, Ouachita Parish, LA. Obit: Funeral services for Mrs. Lucretia W. Bennett, 53-year old Swartz resident who died Saturday in a Monroe hospital, will be help Sunday at 3 p. m. The Rev. B. R. Hadrick will officiate at the rites at Hixon Funeral Home, with burial in the Springhill Cemetery. Surviving are four brothers, Troy Wallace, Dallas, Texas; Douglas and Leroy, both of Monroe, and j. D. Hamburg, Ark.; four sisters, Mrs Beulah McKinley, Mrs Sadie Walker, and Ms. martha Watson, all of Monroe, and Mrs. Myrtie Rollinson, Mer Rouge; her mother, Mrs Dora Wallace, Monroe. Mrs. Bennett was a native of Mississippi. Pallbearers will be G. P. McAllister, F.. O. Patterson, Rankin Earle, Harry Addison, Carl Addison and ray Rhymes.
She married twice. She married Samuel Troope (Ernest) Brooks 1930. 1930 census shows Ernest and Lucinda Brooks living in Quachita Parrish. LA
Samuel was born 1889 in Fulton, AR. Samuel died December 13, 1935 in Swartz, Ouachita Parish, LA. She married Benjamin Clyde Bennett 1950. Benjamin was born January 7, 1907 in Hodge, Jackson Parish, LA. Benjamin died January 1981 in Bastrop, Morehouse Parish, LA.
