She married Samuel DeYoung Dutcher January 1, 1944 in Russellville, IN. Samuel was born September 14, 1924 in Lafayette, Owen Co., IN. Samuel was the son of Avis Dutcher and Dora DeYoung. Samuel died May 7, 2004 in Crawfordville, Montgomery Co., IN. OBIT: Samuel DeYoung Dutcher, 79, Crawfordsville, died Friday at St. Clare Medical Center, Crawfordsville, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born Sept. 14, 1924 at Lafayette, he was the son of Avis and Dora (DeYoung) Dutcher Coons.

He married Betty Allgood on Jan. 1, 1944, at Russellville. She died Nov. 9, 1982. He married Joanne Cotten on March 11, 1973. She died Nov. 23, 1989.

A 1942 Russellville High School graduate, he was retired from Dutcher Trenching, which he and his son owned and operated.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1431 and First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, L. Elaine Carey and husband Steve, Crawfordsville; a son, Steven A. (Sandy) Dutcher, Crawfordsville; four grandchildren; a step-grandchild; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery with Rev. James Ranard officiating. R
