Annie died Octobe 31, 2001 in Mecklenberg Co., VA. He married Edith Greem Mawhinney April 9,1951 in Halifax Co., NC. Edith was born February 4, 1918 in NJ. Edith died June 7, 2011 in South Hill, Mecklenburg Co., VA. OBIT::Mrs. Edith Green Allgood Cumbia, 89, of South Hill, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at her residence. She was a homemaker and the widow of Merritt Allgood and Oscar F. Cumbia, Jr..

She is survived by two daughters; Betty Allgood Connell and Angela Cumbia Phillips both of Brodnax, two sons Gerald Cumbia of Los Angeles, Cali. and Noel O. Cumbia of Crestview, FLa., a sister Gladys Green Sinclair of Forest Hills, N.Y., six grandchildren and two great granddaughters. Besides her husbands she was predeceased by a sister Betty Gregory, a brother William Green and a grandson Christopher Cumbia. A graveside funeral service was conducted Friday at noon in the Episcopal Church Cemetery, Scotland Neck, N.C. by Pastor Ron Rogers
