John died April 15, 2002 in Seale, Russell Co., AL. OBIT: John Thomas Wynn Jr., a resident of Seale, Alabama passed away at his home on April 15, 2002. Mr. Wynn was 80 years old, had been a lifelong resident of Russell County, Alabama. He retired from the Florida Rock Quarry. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
He was the son of John Thomas Wynn, Sr. and Stella Newsome Wynn. He was born October 23, 1921, in Russell County, Alabama.
He is survived by his wife Leatha Elkins Wynn; four daughters, Martha Dozier of Hurtsboro, Alabama, Irma Bradley and husband Bobby of Ft. Mitchell, Alabama, June Monk and husband Sanford of Marietta, Georgia, and Gale Bill and husband David of Hamilton, Georgia; five sisters, Edna Ruth Wynn English, Doris Allene Wynn Elkins Lewis, Sadie Wynn Pearrow, Lillian Pauline Wynn Graf, and Abby Mae Wynn Morris all of Phenix City, Alabama; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Mr. Wynn was preceded in death by a grandson Wade Bradley, a brother Charles Lester Wynn and a son-in-law Malcolm Allen Dozier.
John Thomas Wynn JR and Leatha Bunnetta Elkins had the following children:
