4220. Leon A.7 Allgood (John Jackson (Jack)6, William A.5, Wyatt4, William (Pikey) Henry3, William John2, Edward1) was born in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS February 15, 1889. Leon died October 19, 1958. OBIT: Final rites for Leon A. Allgood, 70, of route two Brookhaven, were held Monday at 3 p.m. from Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. A. W. Talbert, Rev. F. L. Coker and Rev. John Hill officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Allgood died October 19 at 8:45 p.m. at his home. He was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County and a retired carpenter. He was a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Allgood; six daughters, Mrs. Vernon L. Smith, Baton Rouge, Mrs. John Wesley Smith, Mrs. Hollis Smith both of Route 2 Brookhaven, Mrs. Clyde Walker and Mrs. Robert Allen, both of Brookhaven and Mrs. George D. McDavid of El Paso, Texas, two sons, John H. Allgood, Route two, Brookhaven and Rev. James K. Allgood of Vaughn, Miss.; a brother, Earl Allgood of Brookhaven; two sisters, Mrs. Jeff Britt of Wesson and Mrs. Ruth Newton of Brookhaven.
Grandsons of Mr. Allgood were pallbearers.
He married Mary Eugene Case September 6, 1908 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. Mary was the daughter of Hiram Augusta Case.

+ 11858 iii. Edith Lee Allgood was born March 1, 1915.
+ 11859 iv. Verna Marie Allgood was born May 23, 1917.
+ 11860 v. Alice Lucille Allgood was born August 14, 1919.
+ 11861 vi. John Herman (Bonnie) Allgood was born August 2, 1921.
11862 vii. Alma Yvonne Allgood was born in Lincoln Co., MS October 3, 1924. Alma died November 5, 1989. She married Robert H. Allen. Robert was born Februrary 10, 1914. Robert was the son of James Warren Allen and Loshier Beth Smith. Robert died August 11,1993.
+ 11863 viii. Mary Kathryn Allgood was born June 30, 1928.
